The unincorporated town of Genoa, NV, is located in Douglas County, a few miles northwest of Minden on the western edge of the Carson Valley. Genoa is home to a small population of fewer than 1,000 people, spread across a land area of more than nine square miles.

The area was founded in 1851 by Mormon pioneers, as a trading post called Mormon Station. The settlement was renamed Genoa in 1856 after the Italian city. Every year since 1919, Genoa has held a festival in late September called the Candy Dance, selling candy, food and crafts to support the local government. David Walley’s Resort is a famous natural hot springs and spa located just outside of town, while the Genoa Historic District maintains a good amount of Late Victorian architecture.

They had everything fixed and even did a courtesy inspection to make sure there wasn't anything else I urgently needed done. They took me to work and even picked me up to get my van each time. Great job Capitol Automotive... you earned a new customer.

I'd recently taken my Honda to a dealership to have airbag recall work done, and they offered to do a vehicle inspection at the same time. Their inspection revealed that my brakes needed to be repaired right away, and they pressured me to schedule the work with them at that time. Instead, I decided to try Capitol, and a similar inspection showed the brakes were not in the "dire condition" claimed by the dealership. I appreciate the care and concern shown by the folks at Capitol...without the pressure of the dealership. Great work at a good price!
