Because I am a shop owner I took advantage of the opportunity to visit Capitol Automotive while visiting Carson City. It was great that the owner Marcus is actively involved in the daily operation. The technicians demonstrated a high level of competence and have a lot of experience. The facility is packed with professional tools and equipment that looked brand new because of how well they are maintained. Everyone was hustling and motivated to deliver a quality product and great customer service.

I am so disappointed with service I had. When I picked up my car I found out I was charged almost twice what I was quoted just for having a warranty company. Then as I get in my car (unlocked sitting on side of street!) my overhead lights were left on. Now not 24 hours since picking up my car it's broken down but they do not offer towing if that happens. I will never go there or refer anyone to the most expensive auto repair store in town. It was not worth the higher charges!!

Check their Yelp reviews also hot and a few cold. If you ask what's wrong expect to pay for the diagnosis. If you know what you want done, ask for that. They are a locally owned and run shop. The offer full service automotive repair and maintenance.

They are professionals all around. Our (dated) truck drives like it is young again! Well done.

Great service and people. Always reliable. Only issue was the online appointment system did not work - so I just called for appointment.

The alternator on my wife's car was going out. They quoted me what was a fair price considering the difficulty in getting to the alternator. While they did the preliminary checks, they discovered what might have been an additional problem, and they also managed to save some money by removing the alternator a different way. So, they asked if I wanted them to look into the additional problem. Having saved me money, I immediately took them up on it. Turned out to be nothing, and I was very satisfied with not only their great customer service, but also their attention to detail and willingness to help save me a little money, too! EDIT: four months later, the alternator started going out again. They tested it, confirmed it, and replaced it all in the same day, even with a busy workload, at no cost to me. These people know what it means to care for their customers.
