Capitol Automotive was there when no other place could get me in or figure out what was going on with my car. Turns out it was my crank shaft sensor! They were quick, friendly, and very thorough. I'll definitely be going back if I have any future car issues.

The vehicle was ready the same day but it going to require another visit to get the camera installed.

Hi Carolyn, it seems as if we didn't explain the process well. Our technician diagnosed the intermittent camera issue and found a defective C497 connector (did not have the correct voltage). This connector is no longer available so I technician spent another hour cutting it out and repairing it. Once repaired, the camera still did not work intermittently and the technician found another issue with the wiring harness where it goes through the tailgate. That part is still available but not available same day in Carson City. We would be happy to order and install that for you. Your husband told our service advisor that he was going out of town and would be in touch with us when he returned. Please let us know if you have any questions. Thank you for your business!

I have gone to capital automotive for all of my car issues/repairs since I moved to Carson City three years ago. Once I found them, I quickly realized that I would not need to “shop around” for a quality mechanic in the area, because I had already found one! All of the staff are friendly and helpful, and willing to explain mechanical issues in basic terms for me to understand the problem and how they are going to fix it. They are quick and efficient, easy to get ahold of, and always provide quality service.

The folks at Capitol Automotive are all around great. Friendly and very good at explaining problems they find with your vehicles. As they do inspections on your vehicle they take photos that they can share with you while explaining what is going on, I like that. I've been using them for several years now and will keep on doing so. I recently had the miss fortune of needing to bring 2 vehicles to then on the same day, they got us a ride home when the second vehicle broke down and got them both back to us the same day. I would recommend then for auto repairs no problem.

I have had three of my vehicles repaired at Capital. One in particular was a very extensive repair on an older vehicle. I am very impressed with the quality of work, the mindfulness and professionalism that this shop provides. I just had a clutch repair done on my old truck and they did an amazing job. They went above and beyond to get the job done with efficiency.

Marilee, thank you so much for bringing us the F-350 (and the other vehicles) and for leaving us the wonderful review. I'm so sorry the last two visits were extensive repairs for both vehicles.... next time maybe we can see you for an oil change!
